If a downpour hits, the seam-taped bathtub floor ensures you'll stay dry and resists pooling, and the rain-shield flysheet won't stretch out if it gets wet. Awesome tent with great weight to value ratioI've been hiking with this tent for the past year and using it in all temperature and weather conditions, and it never disappoints. My favorite piece of gear.

light!I love the weight! Also, I like that it is wide enough for my camp mat(it is not light weight and 29in wide)! A bit drafty in high winds.

My Go-To tentI have a 2-person Tungsten and used it for month long backpacks. Decided to go 1P UL and now have used this for 300+ miles. Hail, rain, snow and altitude through The Sierras. It is still working great. Only complaint were the stakes. I replaced with lighter, better and my mountain time has been excellent.

Solid 1P tentGreat tent. Used this for a backpacking trip in death valley. I paired it with an UL pack and a lightweight sleeping bag for a very low base weight. Not that it mattered though since there was no water anywhere and you had to carry tons of water. That said, it was a comfortable tent for one person. I zipped up the mesh but left the rain fly rolled back all night with little to no condensation.

Best All Purpose Freestanding 1p TentI upgraded from the Non UL Tungsten 1P because I wanted to shed over a pound of weight. Love this tent! Light weight, free standing, color blends in with nature, fits into the tightest flat area, weather proof, no condensation issues, and spacious for a 1p. I switched out the cheap stakes with MSR Groundhog stakes. With the additional footprint it weights in just under 2lbs 10oz.

a backpackers chritiequeI set it up and my only concern was the stakes hurt my palms if soil is hard, The flap on the fly does not have enough Velcro to keep it closed plus hard to secure from inside. last thing is the fly doesn't go out past the bottom of tent to stop water from hitting the inner floor. could have used another pocket on the inside across from the one you have.Besides that its roomy height is good. Do your engineers actually backpack?

So far, no complaintsI only have one night camped in this so far but it had not disappointed so far. Love how small I can get the tent and fly compressed in a compression sack, and the subsequent extra space I get in my pack. It set up nice and easy, and held up well in a night with a few decent showers and some strong wind gusts (45 mph+ ?). Stayed nice and dry inside and the big gusts of wind did push the tent body in a little but it always bounced right back.
Easy set up, the packed volume, and decent price have me happy with this purchase.
