Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Jacket! I’ve only worn this on the mountain two times now, but so far, it is such a good jacket! I’m super picky and have probably purchased and returned 3-4 different jackets + purchased a jacket I thought I liked, but ended up selling it after skiing in it. After skiing is this jacket and having zero complaints, I felt obligated to write a detailed review about all the things I like about it. - The long wrist gaiters with thumb holes are a great length. On other jackets, the wrist gaiters are so short that you can’t use them with your gloves without them being uncomfortable - on this jacket, that is not the case. - The high fleece collar keeps the wind and snow out even when the hood is attached and down. I love the chunky front zipper - it is easy to zip and unzip the jacket with gloves/mitts on. - The interior chest pocket is large and should fit any size phone no problem. - The body and the sleeves are a good length. - Lots of functional pockets on the outside - two for hands, one pass pocket, and one other pocket on the right side about half way up the body of the jacket. - A large stash pocket on the inside - perfect for stashing gloves when you are taking a break for the day or going to the bathroom. - A zip-off powder skirt - No mesh covering on the pit vents - I know some people might not like that, but it was a plus for me. My old jacket had mesh and I always got the zipper stuck in the mesh when trying to open/close them. On an overcast day in about 20 degrees, all I wore was a 100% merino wool midweight baselayer (made by Meriwool) and I was perfectly warm. On a colder day, I added a fleece vest, which was perfect for riding the lifts in the wind, and then I unzipped the pit vents on the way down and while waiting in lift lines.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Bad Zipper I purchased this jacket 6 weeks before my ski trip and loved the fit, the features and the warmth. I even tested it out a couple of times and was very satisfied. But 8 days before my trip, I was unable to zip it up! I even showed it to a seamstress to see if I was doing something wrong. She pointed out that the body one of the pulls had a more narrow channel than the second pull. So disappointed to have to return it and so close to my trip. No time to have Marmot repair it and no replacements left in stock. So I ordered a different Marmot jacket and really hope this one has a good zipper.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very pretty and functional I bought this in S since XS was out and Val D'sere in XS. I will keep this one because of it has pit zips, detachable hood and thumb hole feature. The dreamstate color is darker in person but still a very pretty dusty pink. Although it was a size up for me it didn't look baggy and comfortable. I'm 4'10 and it covers my butt which is fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Killa Jacket! Love this jacket! It is warm, without bulk and layers nicely. Plenty of room around the shoulder and armpits and the hood can accommodate a helmet. Lots of usable and easy to access pockets. This is my new go-to skiing jacket. I have worn it on warm days with only a base layer and on cold days with a base layer and fleece vest. Very versatile and beautiful golden color. Yay Marmot! I am 5’3”, 135 pounds and the xs was good because I wanted it more snug. If you suspect you’ll be adding more layers, you may consider sizing up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome material The jacket is great and I have used it twice. It's very waterproof because of modern material. The XS size is a little tight in the waist for me, but I will keep it and loose weight, ahaha

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Zipper system not great The coat is beautiful and warm but the zippers are horrible. They don’t align correctly and it’s difficult to zip abc unzip the coat and all pockets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Want another one in a different color Nice feel, warm, and looks great m. True to size. Wouldn’t mind another one in a different color

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this jacket, great for cold temps! This jacket is warm and functional. I like the pockets; there is a pass pocket on the left arm and a phone pocket near the center zipper on the inside. Since this jacket has taped seams the zippers glide a little rough, but ultimately it’s not a big deal. The hood fits over my helmet, and the jacket has two huge vents near the armpits. I ski in Vermont where it can be in the negative degrees (Fahrenheit) and this jacket keeps me plenty warm.
