Awesome jacketI’ve always hated puffy jackets because they are not stylish and make you look like the Michelin man but having recently moved from California to Pennsylvania, I really needed a warm jacket. With every passing day, I am more in love with this one. It is truly WARM and even during the recent snow falls and when temperatures are in the 20s I am not a bit cold! It is also really lightweight, has a nicer silhouette a the waist, a nice cozy hood, and the lining of the pockets is soft. I LOVE my jacket and while I thought it was quite pricey I have since decided it was well worth the investment as I will wear it for years. Highly recommended.

Love This Warm Coat !Great "Grape" gorgeous, deep color.
Very impressed with the magnetic closer's instead of snapping.Zipper is OK . Deep hand pockets that are easy to slide my cold hands into.Needs another inside pocket though, one isnt enough but glad it has one.Love the "light weight" coat that kept me warm on a -15 below morning, though a sweater would have really helped for extra warmth but this coat did the job. The attached hood is awesome and plan on keeping it attached ! This down coat is sooooooo soft and I really like the fact it also has fleece inner cuffs :) LOVE EVERTHING OF THIS WELL MADE MARMOT DOWN COAT. I'm hoping it will last many winters to come my way :)))

Worth the extra $$ for a removable Hood!My quest started with trying to find a warm (down) jack WITHOUT a hood. Every single product available right now has a (frickin) hood! AND it's never detachable (grrrr!) SO - I decided to spend part of my 2020 bonus and order the Marmot Strollbridge jacket. It is awesome and I LOVE that I can detach the hood! I probably will never use the hood as I always carry a crossbody purse or messenger bag so now I will never get hung up on the darn hood when I try to take my purse off. I really wish a detachable hood AND a two way zipper was an affordable standard!! Maybe start new and be the first in 2021?

Looks great, so warm!!! Zipper is just fine!I don’t get the reviews about the zipper. It’s the kind that works in both directions which I think is a great feature! I can put on the coat and then when I get in the car to drive, I can upzip it a bit from the bottom to make it easier to sit and drive. This is something I look for in longer coats! I like my tush covered in the winter but want to have some freedom of movement when I sit in the car. It’s not hard to use at all. Like all zippers, make sure that the pieces are all the way down then attach the sides together and pull up, Voila! In any case, this coat is warm and looks great! The hood is a little larger but I love that on a snowy windy day! Keeps everything toasty!

I loved this coat, but it tore.I bought this coat last winter and wore it for casual wear. It fit well and was warm, but I noticed after a second washing that it had a small tear. I contacted Marmot and started the process of a warranty claim. I sent the coat out in October. It is now mid January and I still do not have my coat back. Buyer be ware. If you spend $300 on a coat you expect it to hold up. If they warranty the item, you would think a repair would be 30 days or it would be replaced. Very disappointing!

Underwhelmed by warmthI bought this jacket after having my Montreal Coat from Marmot for 4 years now. I loved that in my Montreal Coat the interior body, arm cuffs, and hand pockets were lined with a warm/soft fleece and that it could keep me warm even when it was well below freezing outside. I was torn between ordering my original jacket again and this one, but decided to change it up. When the Strollbridge Jacket arrived I was disappointed. This coat did not have a fleece lined body my previous jacket had and was slightly cold when you first put it on due to whatever material it was lined with. The arm cuffs and hand pockets were lined with fleece though like my old jacket. As noted by another reviewer, the jacket is very light and not puffy. I decided to wear it outside (I live in DC and NH throughout the winter) to give it a chance and found myself cold after only 25 minutes of being outside in DC- it was only 30/35 degrees outside that night. This jacket however is beautiful- the pattern on the outside is extremely flattering and slimming. It'd be a great jacket if you didn't need to wear it outside for a long period of time or didn't live in an "extremely" cold place.

Just right!Ive Been looking for a longer black jacket with a hood for awhile now. The strollbridge jacket is everything I’ve wanted in a jacket; keeps me warm and is very flattering! I’ve received many compliments. I Was slightly concerned it would have a “puffy” look but the fit is just right! Love the versatile hood and magnetic closure. It has a double zipper which at times can be a pain ( and something I read about in other reviews) but I love the jacket so much it doesn’t bother me at all. I am also impressed with the quality of Marmot jackets; I have a snowboarding jacket from Marmot that still looks the same as it did when I bought it 10
years ago .

Wish the zipper worked better!I LOVE this coat! I bought a medium, 5’9”, 140#. The feel of the fabric is nice, it is WARM (I live in WI and went on walks with it and didn’t even feel the cold breeze come through at all), the length is great (the arms are even long enough!), the fit, everything is great, except THE ZIPPER. Marmot was so close on this one. I kept the jacket and am now wondering if I made a mistake. Somebody please share with me if there’s a trick to it. The zipper eventually goes up, but is frustrating.
