Great jacket, but...I purchased this jacket to have a non-down option for backcountry skiing. In almost all brands, I wear a small. Unfortunately, this jacket doesn't account for much chest room, let alone wearing anything other than a non-bulky insulating base-layer. The arms are a bit too long, but I'm used to that with my t-rex arms. I opted for this as the other and slightly more stylish featherless hoody looked to be a slimmer cut and didn't have the outside chest pocket. Sadly, I'll need to return this as no amount of breast binding is going to make this happen. If it fit, it looks like it would have been a great jacket.

My Favorite JacketI randomly bought this jacket because I liked the Mallard Green color, and it ended up being my favorite jacket I’ve ever purchased. I was hesitant because it’s not down-filled, but I actually like it better than my down jackets. It’s super comfortable and warm, and repels water really well. I got caught in a ton of snow in May in Colorado last year, and this coat was a lifesaver. Plus, for a puffy jacket, it’s pretty flattering.

Perfect for Iceland Trip.I bought this locally for a trip to Iceland. It was the perfect jacket. I could zip up the neck all the way when needed, use the hood or not, unzip it all the way, and tie it around my waist as the weather changed during the day. I wore it over on the plane, and packed it twice: once in a small packing cube and once in the little pillow cover from the plane. I love the Mallard color, too. (I bought XL for sweaters underneath, clothing is usually large). Also, it repelled the mist from some waterfalls although I would not want to get this soaked while out and about.

The perfect cozy camp/climb jacket!I recently wore this beauty on Mount Shasta. I was concerned at first it would be a little bulky to wear while we went for the summit, but OH MY GOSH, I am so happy I wore it up there! It doubles as a do-it-all jacket for cold days and as the only jacket I want to wear back at camp to be cozy. Lightweight and not too warm that I felt like I was overheating while we climbed. The hood is probably my favorite feature! It doesn't get in the way, but is essential to staying warm and feeling fully covered and out of the wind.

Nice jacketThis is a warm, nice jacket. I only gave it a three star because the description says it has an "Inside Zip Stuff Sack Pocket" but it zips into the hand pocket. I mention this because I have two other jackets and one uses the inside zip pocket designed specifically to stuff your jacket and the other zips into the hand pocket. I hate stuffing in the hand pocket. It doesn't work on either jackets. It's very easy to use on the inside zip stuff sack pocket easily. I was very disappointed. Also, the openings for the pockets are small. The jacket feels short in the waist but long in the arms. The arms feel tight with a fleece pullover (not a bulky pullover either). The fit just feels out of portion. I do like it enough to keep it and it's warm.

Not good for climbingBought hoping it would work. Didn’t. The fit was a bit small (5’8” 140 with wide shoulders and 5’10” wingspan) but although it says it is good for climbing, it didn’t allow enough freedom of movement in the shoulders and the body is way too short to stay in a harness especially with the lack of stretch in the material and tight fit. Looking at measurements, a large wouldn’t have been long enough in the body to overcome this. I like be the color and weight, and I’m sure the full would have been nice and warm, but just not what I needed it to be for active upper body performance. Returned.

Perfect for all temperatures!I got this as a birthday gift, and i couldn't be more pleased with it. Vegan, super water resistanct, things like dirt and sand just fall off easily. I wore this snow shoeing on mount baker (15 deg) with just a fleece underneath, I was perfectly warm. I can also wear it as a light jacket/windbreaker in 60 deg weather without overheating. Just get it, you'll love it. I am 5'8'', 125 pounds, long arms, and the xsmall fit perfectly.

So warm!Bought from the Marmot/Coleman outlet near Denver. Beautiful color! Love the pockets - even if you have them unzipped with something in them, they're deep enough that the item (phone, gloves, etc.) won't fall out. Great fit, kind of stretchy feel. Layers well, but is definitely a midweight or heavy weight jacket (not lightweight!). I wish it had a loop to hang it from.
