Beware the "belt"I would be giving these pants 5 stars if it weren't for one "small" but defining dealbreaker. The waist cinching mechanism is ridiculous. It makes for limited adjustment, and places the small metal hooks precisely under my pack hip belt. I'm curious how this ever made it through design or testing. Why not just normal belt loops like the otherwise lesser Scree pant? Or a removable built-in belt? This is one of the most nonsensical belt options I've experienced.
Beyond that, these are quite nice pants. Much more fitted than the Scree pant. They're a versatile weight find that sweet spot between being streamlined & feature rich.
Still, the non-belt situation is enough that I think I'm going to have to return these.
