The Tungsten Ultralight 3-Person Hatchback Tent offers the space, comfort, and lightweight performance necessary for epic up-mountain treks when you want to relax after a tough segment or multiday treks that include single track rides. A pole in the back increases stability while the removable door adds versatility. This 3-person ultralight tent has an incredibly roomy sleeping area and tons of headroom, thanks to zone pre-bend construction that creates vertical walls. The rain-shield polyester flysheet won't stretch and sag when wet, ensuring you're comfortable and dry on the inside, while two D-shaped doors with large vestibules provide plenty of space to store everyone's gear when the rain is coming down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from awesome tent recommend buying Great tent. Holds really well in the rain and wind if staked down properly love the hatchback design. Comes in handy for shade and to keep your gear dry. I can sit inside the hatchback with a folding chair just perfectly. Easy to set up and take down.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from The tent is good, but not the hatchback fly I was surprised how much I dislike this tent, or rather the hatchback fly design. The core Tungsten UL tent is good in design and construction (minus only having 1 minuscule pocket). The fly misses many marks. I traded in my Marmot alpinist (a brilliant tent for winter and mountaineering) for this as car camping with the family is now my reality. The first night I used it I gave up on using all poles because I couldn't figure out how to install them. The fly requires serious staking and guy lines to function well. It's a huge, footprint with no option for not using the extended fly. One evening with a tight camp space I set up the tent but didn't extend the hatchback. I tried tying the fly to the side unsuccessfully. I didn't sleep because the fly, acting like a sail, made a racket as it flapped and rippled in the wind all night. Because of the large area under the fly, the tent is much colder than a similar 3 person tent (not a design flaw, just something to be aware of). The doorway is such that when direct wind hits it, the tent billows and contracts with pressure and the massive fly flaps. I can't imagine what would happen in high winds. It's possible to set up the tent and not use two of four poles (a small one that slightly increases headroom in the tent and a large one that slightly stabilizes the fly as it meets the tent). I can't tell if this a creative design to be able to go light for backpacking, or just sloppy since they didn't seem to improve the tent much. The material and construction is high quality. I did not test it in the rain, but the massive hatchback vestibule really would be nice and if needed could almost sleep 3 more people making this a 6 person tent. The footprint sits under the tent, but not the vestibule (not an issue). I'd have a hard time recommending this tent and think most people would be better off getting the Tungsten UL 3 person and a blue plastic tarp or a larger tent rather than this one. The usability of the tent would improve dramatically if the hatchback was an optional feature or didn't require such set-up. Interesting attempt in designing something novel, but frankly it doesn't work very well.
