Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Pants for touring I love these pants and they are a good price. I took them out about 15 times this season (got them in February). Kept me dry on wet snow days and breath well. I love the pockets and side vents. Zippers are solid and easy to open/close. They do seem a little fragile. On my first tour out I got a cut on the inside leg where the reinforced cuffs are (probably about 1/2 inch). Must have been from a ski edge. I also got some small holes from branches in them from various other tours. One small hole as well from an alpine ax snagging the soft part of the pant. I really thought they would last more than a season. Maybe this pair was just an anomaly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stretchy Wonders I bought these for backcountry splitboarding. They work great. They have the right amount of features: stretch, breathability, and price. They are athletically cut. I’m 5’9” and 205lbs. The large is a good fit.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good but Sizing Didn't Work I get hot in bibs and hate snow down my back, so ski pants with suspenders are my go to. The quality seemed good on these for the price point, but unfortunately they were way too short. I sized up to an XL hoping to get a little extra length, but still too short so I had to send them back. I'm 6' 2" and 190.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flex and Breath Well I bought these pants in Feb 2019 primarily for back country 3 pin tele-skiing and have gone out a couple times locally to test them. Not sure if mine are hold overs but my Pro Tour Pants have belt loops in addition to suspenders. I like having the belt loops, too, because sometimes a belt feels more comfortable / convenient (the suspenders are detachable). Bottom line: I like these pants. They fit and flex well. I wear 34-36 waist x 30 inseam jeans and the size 36 Pro Tour Pant fits me well. I do not like tight fitting outer jackets and pants because when it is cold I like to layer up underneath. The 36's are not too baggy and feel good kicking down the track. Even the the length (inseam) is fine (I have only worn them with the suspenders). I am 5'9" and 180 lbs. Breath-ability seems good. I have not done any serious climbing in them, yet, but I was out skiing / running our dog on a 20-30 degree day with a light base layer under the pants and even though I had a lot of sweat on my head my legs and long underwear remained dry. I intentionally kept the vents zipped shut on the pants to see how well they would breath. I looked at 5 other brands of softshell pants and I liked the fabric weight of the Pro Tour pants. It felt the most durable of the bunch - time will tell... If you use these pants at a ski hill riding the lifts you will want to add some insulating layers, especially on cold days. They are not insulated - just a shell. Some other features I like: 3 pockets in front and one in back - all zipper shut. Extra Cordura material around inner ankels protecting from ski and crampon damage. The legs have inner gaiters or snow cuffs with zippers to allow easier access to boot laces / adjustments.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great, amazing with a tiny mod These pants fit great, I love that they come in short because you don’t need that much length when you’re wearing them with ski boots and internal gaiter mountaineering boots. In fact I modified them to be even more versatile by adding a second snap post to tighten the legs up when mountaineering with my la sportiva built in gaiter single boots. It really cleans it up and reduces crampon snag.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Option for High Output w/o looking Skimo Good Touring Pant! Previously owned the OR Trailbreaker for about 6 years, and these are a lighter weight and more breathable option - which is good for high output activities. My only wish - is for mesh or removable gaiters! No one does this anymore, but it's the best way to incorporate breathability into the lower leg/boot area.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good nordic pant Great choice for backcountry and classic skiing. Well constructed and better than average ventilation. Somewhat odd fit in hips and thighs in relation to waist size. I needed to order up a size in waist to fit my thighs comfortably. Certainly superior construction to most nordic pants however.
