Description
The style of the Ashbury PreCip Eco may be for going off mountain for urban adventures—but that doesn't mean it's sacrificing the waterproofing, breathability, and durability crucial for taking on soaking commutes and heavy downpours. The waterproof/breathable, PFC-free Marmot NanoPro™ recycled nylon face fabric lasts longer, thanks to the advanced technology of our microporous coating. It's sturdier and more durable than ever and doesn't feel stiff, thanks to its patented dry-touch finish. Add extra rain protection by adjusting the cuffs and pulling in the drawcord at the hood. A longer length provides extra coverage while the two-way zipper prevents the jacket from bunching up while seated. Side entry and snap-flap drop-in pockets provide plenty of on-the-go storage while colorblocking details add a fresh update.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the style! I was waiting to find just the right jacket. This had a look I couldn't ignore, and made for a a quick purchase decision. It arrived quickly and easily met my expectations!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great rain jacket Bought this jacket 6 months ago, specifically to walk the dog in the rain. The jacket is excellent! Hold the rain out completely! Have always wear something underneath, as there is no lining and the fabric is very thin. It is basically a laminate over the thin nylon shell. If the weather is warm, the condensation will get you and the jacket will stick to your skin. If the weather is cool, you will be cold without layering. Definitely recommend as a rain jacket.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great coat, poorly designed zipper. I love the coat - lots of storage, longer length, definitely waterproof. However, I hate the zipper. It’s a double zipper. The upper zipper travels reasonably well. The bottom zipper stops about 3 inches up and won’t budge. If I unzip the top zip, I can get them both to go up together if I work at it for a while. Very frustrating. And it doesn’t have Velcro or snaps so you can just use those rather than the zipper.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Beautiful jacket, tore almost immediately Beautiful jacket. Love the design & serves it's purpose. Unfortunately, within two weeks of purchasing, found a ~3 inch tear under the armpit, having only worn the jacket around the city a couple times. Sewed it up, but was disappointing given brand reputation / price point.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay jacket, poor service I ordered the jacket and got a confirmation but had to call back 3 weeks later when it hadn't shipped. The company apologized but asked me to call back again to re-order because...I don't know why. I ended it up buying the same jacket for less at Campsaver. It's fine for what it is, which is a VERY thin jacket. It blocks rain but not wind and has no liner of any effectiveness. In other words, this will keep you dry but not warm. Recommend you order one size up. The pockets are great and the look is good, too. The weak point is the zipper. It's plastic and takes a while to engage. All in all, a good jacket but too expensive at $165. Wait for a sale.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice style, packs down into my bike commute bag I needed a rain jacket that would pack down into my bike commute bag, so I've been shopping the PreCip line. However, my wife (who I believe has great taste) is often a very tough sell on outdoors cloths and I like to run things by her before buying. Much to my surprised she liked the blue version of this jacket, and it was on sale so I grabbed it! Fits nicely, like the fabric, only complaint is the sleeves are a bit long (though to be fair I'm 5'8")
