Pertex Shield ® 2.5 Layer Fabric with 2-way Stretch
At less than 4 ounces, the Bantamweight Rain Pants are the lightest fully featured rain pants we've ever made. These athletic-fitting, ultra-lightweight pants with stretch offer true outdoor athletes the extreme rain performance they need to stow and go as they head up mountain—without the hassle of extra weight in their pack. Waterproof, windproof, and lightweight Pertex® Shield fabric is paired with a durable water-repellent (DWR) finish for the ultimate in rain protection and breathability. Essential features include gripper elastic at the ankles that keep the pants in place, a thigh pocket to access gear mid trek, and ankle zippers which make it easy to layer over other pants and take off boots.

Flexible and GreatI use this pants to walk with my dog when it rains and but also take it with me whenever it looks like raining. It doesn't take any space and has virtually no weight. I guess a 'normal' rain pant would probably stay "at home". It performs perfectly and you don't get sweaty when you wear it for a longer time. Cool product.

Bantom weight pants.I can’t speak for the waterproofness and breathability yet but I am very disappointed that they don’t have a 30” inseam option. Too long for me and too baggy for my likes. Need to use a rubber band around the ankle to bring them in. This could be avoided with a simple stretch cord and lock which should be a feature for such an expense offering. Only buy on sale and check out the several other options from different brands (mainstream and cottage) that have offerings in this weight class for less cost. These are very thin and I am concerned about durability. They are inline with the original GoLite no bells/whistles pants that were in this weight category but had a better fit—15 years ago.

So far so good.So far they look good but so far we have not yet had much rain in Northern California to see how they hold up in a true storm. I would like to see their durability in rain. They pack really small and M size looks true to this fit 5'8" 170 pounder.
