Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a really nice jacket. I was impressed with this jacket right out of the box. It looks and feels nice all over. It has a heavier feel than a down with a heavier denier than 40. Withstanding temps in the mid 30's I am comfortably warm wearing a light shirt underneath. The outer material is soft and durable but not like canvas, it's much softer and classier. Its a great option for going out to dinner as it looks elegant enough for a cool to cold fall/winter evening. As with all jackets, I wish every jacket ever made had a Napoleon pocket either inside or out. This jacket has super nice flap chest pockets and hand warming pockets. All very nice in detail and warmth. Loving it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Absolutely love this jacket I was looking for a puff coat and saw this one and gave it a try, and I was rewarded with a fantastic jacket. I was able to try it on in the store before ordering online (some people had complained about sizing) so I was able to confirm the right size. I'm 6'3" 168 lbs and the medium fits perfectly. I tried the large as well but it was a bit too big and boxy. This jacket is warm, durable and has great pocket utility, though the waist pockets could use a zipper or button. It is really great for everyday use or outdoors, but just so you're aware it doesnt pack down as small as a typical puff coat. I got the black and it works in pretty much all situations socially too.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Down falls out... I am updating a previous review, but couldn't figure out how to do it within that review. I really like the look and feel of this jacket, and it's quite warm for the slim fit. Unfortunately, the down is falling out at an alarming rate. I have little down feathers all over me every time I take the jacket off. I understand some will come out, but the inner stitching seems to allow a good deal to slip through. I worry it will eventually be useless after very little use. I love Marmot products so a bit disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sharp and functional Products don’t always live up to the picture on the site but this down jacket is the rare exception. Fit was great and I could tell just by putting it on that the down insulation will be plenty toasty this fall and winter. Great jacket for the city or a mild adventure. Not sure I’d take it for any aggressive hikes but that’s not what I was looking for with this one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Like! I am a similar size to Burntfries36 - 5'10" and 167lbs, and at his recommendation, got a small. Small was way too tight around the shoulders and chest, and had to get a medium, which fit perfectly (I am normally a medium). Sleeves are usually a little short on me, but these are perfect, and the jacket doesn't flare out at the bottom, like some jackets do (to accomodate large bellies). The look and fit is great. I just wish there was an inside pocket, and zippers on the outside pockets. putting things in the chest pocket will not look good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall a really useful jacket I'm 5"10' approximately 145 and small fits me perfectly. It's slim without being tight, isn't boxy, and I can layer with a hoodie underneath without any issue or feeling restricted. The jacket itself is warmer than I expected and is useful at blocking wind -- I live in Chicago, so blocking the wind is pretty important. I didn't intend for this to be my winter jacket (I was thinking more for fall) but with a hoodie underneath, it keeps me nice a warm. I wish it had an inside pocket, but the lack of one isn't an issue.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice quality and feel, warm. Runs large. This is my first Marmot jacket. (I'm comparing to Patagonia which is my normal brand.) I bought this for around town winter use. It's warm and comfortable. I like the high collar; helps cover up from the wind. It definitely runs large. I'm 6'0", 165 lbs and I'm swimming in a medium. And I have a long torso and longer arms but the jacket has room to spare all around. I might try a small to compare.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great everyday jacket I've had this jacket for about two weeks now and really like the look and feel /texture of it. It's warm in temperatures in the mid 30-40s (Fahrenheit) as well with just wearing a base layer underneath. I would give it 4 or even 5 starts but the fit is a bit off. I am 5'6" and 155lbs and had to get a small as the medium was laughably big. The small fits well on the sleeves but the area near the arm pits are very tight. I don't think it'll rip but it would be difficult to wear with multiple layers.
