Description
Top-of-mountain performance comes to the streets with the Men's WarmCube™ McCarren Jacket. Innovative 3D WarmCube construction prevents the 800-fill-power down from being displaced, plus traps heat in the surrounding channels for maximum warmth. The waterproof, breathable 2-layer GORE-TEX® fabric keeps you dry in unexpected rainstorms, plus 100% seam taping offers complete leakproof protection. Adjust the hood for extra coverage and zip it off when you don't need it. The two-way zipper with a storm flap won’t bunch as you're seated on the train, while articulated elbows increase mobility. Stow essentials in this winter coat's zippered interior chest or handwarmer pockets.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeps me warm and blocks the wind I bought this jacket to keep me warm in 0-40 degree weather and it’s been amazing so far.. the sleeves have a system set up to prevent wind from getting inside it’s really awesome.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Coat is nice The coat fits very well and it is very light. I'm not sure it is as warm as my old Marmot coat. The zippers are finicky.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Too bad no xs size I absolutely loved this coat but it runs too big so i had to return it. I was SO disappointed that it didn't fit cuz its top quality. Too bad they don't make in xs.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good but can be better This jacket is made with good quality and a bunch of features (some are not very useful). Pay attention to the following points if you are considering buying one. 1. The Gore fabric is soft and is intended for urban use, not strong enough for hiking. It’s a dirt magnet which sticks hair and dirt easily. 2. There is no waist ring inside and so make sure you at least wear a well-sealed mid layer or a warm sweater inside. 3. It is advertised to be filled with goose down but the product labels (which are sewed inner the jacket) says it’s filled with goose down and duck down. 4. The “true to size” fit is larger than expected, which is not for slim body shape. I noticed quite a few reviews complain about this. I’m a 6’ tall and weighted 154 lb and the S size is too large for me. Wearing a large jackets makes you feel colder. 5. The sleeves are too thin, which leaves your shoulder cold easily. The advertised “thin down” feels not as warm as regular down fill. 6. The hand pockets feels too cold and there is no insulation material on top of the pockets to keep your hands warm. Overall, I think Marmot should fill more down or just make it a warmer jacket for people who ware a thin sweat shirt inside for urban use. I wanted to love it so I hope the next version can be better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very good jacket with some likely unecessary featu I enjoy the jacket lots. It has heft w/o much weight. It is warm and does very with wind and rain. The jacket also looks great. Is it worth the nearly $700? Probably not.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, could easily be great. Good coat, well made but with a few tweaks could be great. The warm cube is only around core of body. Very warm. The high collar and hood are great. Sleeves are a much thinner synthetic insulation. So your arms dont feel as warm. Storm flap for zipper should be insulated. You feel the cold doen the middle of your core. Again because the adjacent warm cube is so warm. Could use a waist draw string.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good jacket, but at that price point...... It's a nice jacket, but the fit seems a bit off and it lacks some simple features. I got the large and wish I was able to try the medium, but they were already sold out. The flap over the zipper should button or Velcro down. Limited pockets overall. Also, the neck area is very wide open. It is definitely a full cut. If you are slim, this jacket is a bit full. Overall it is a nice jacket and warm.
