Feathers out of the pockets like an open artery! The quality of this jacket is very good but there is a poor choice of fleece for the pocket-lining. The zippers are good, as well as the hood.
But there are 3 problems.
1- the wrist enclosures are a joke. the velcro doesn't grip. And the inner wrist elastic material grip your wrist so tight that there is no airflow out from your underarms which causing overheating.
2- The fit is too tight.
3- The biggest problem is the fleece material using to line the pockets lets the down spill out all over the place. There is no reason for fleece lined pockets, I dont care for it. Marmot, use better material and makes the seams leak-proof !!

Almost perfect!3 stars off because of fill leaking1st want to say, this review lost 3 stars SOLEY TO THE THE FILL COMING OUT! Mostly happy with my purchase, lightweight, super warm. My only issue is the feathers coming out of the jacket. It's not a lot but super noticable and seems to get worse daily. I have had the jacket for 2 weeks now. After the 3rd or 4th use I noticed feathers coming out. This seems to be a quality issue and I am HUGE on quality. With feathers coming out constantly it makes the jacket feel cheap to me and to be of a lower quality. Hopefully it doesn't come out any faster or I'm sure the warmth will go with it. Aren't there ways to make warm jackets without using actual feathers?

Great functionality, but ...Pros:
: used in -40C with 2 technical baselayers, but only a shirt for up to -15C
: lining feels very comfortable
: style is versatile enough to be worn in the office and rugged enough when outdoors
: collar feels tight, to a point where you can't really close them fully when you have a scarf or a neck gaiter on
: and as already mentioned by some, down is consistently leaking from the seams particularly from the back and the arms (photo attached). I know it's normal for down-filled jackets to be having this problem, but not if it's only bought within three months and hardly-used on a regular basis.

Bought for a trip to Iceland and very glad I didI bought this jacket for a cold weather coat, living in the south I will never need more than this. I took it on a trip to Iceland and was warm the whole time. The wind alone there is a real test for any jacket. I stayed warm the whole time, usually with just a base layer on underneath. Anything more than that and I was sweating. Temps ranged from 0F to 34F.
I like the big pockets on this jacket, I could put my cell phone, wallet, beanie, neck gaiter in the pockets and still have plenty of room for my hands. I like the fleece cuffs personally, they are warm. I found the hood to be adequate, and the neck was not too tight for me. It was snug, but that keeps you warmer. Probably not all the features of some of the higher priced jackets, but I got it on sale and I'm very happy with the purchase.

Great jacket for the priceI am 5'9'' 195LBS. 44 chest with athletic build. Finding jackets is very difficult for me as I am between sizes. That being said this jacket fits well in a size LARGE. Not too tight, not too loose. The sleeves are a touch long but with the velcro you are able to sinch so that it holds at the wrist. The jacket falls to the waist which I like. The quality is great, have yet to wear outside, but imagine it will be warm enough for my north east climate. Zipper is smooth, fabric is durable. I bought the Bomber Green/Forest Night and its sharp. This is a classic jacket that will look good years from now. If you are on the fence, buy this jacket. It wont let you down. Outdoorgearlabs had a great review on this jacket as well.

Puffs up in the middleI bought L size on Jan 8, 2018. The jacket looks and feels nice but when I wear it, it puffs up in front in the middle like I have a basketball under the jacket. I tried to push on that spot and tried to readjust but nothing helps. It comes back basically right away. I wrote to Marmot support team. Automate email said they will get back to me in 48 - 72 hours. Still waiting to hear from them. Give it a good try before considering buying it.

Great jacket! Really good priceLet me tell you what I like about this jacket:
I was going to write what I don't like about it, but honestly, I can't come up with anything...maybe that it's just a little bulky?
But, it's a winter Jacket, it should be.
This jacket seems to be a direct competitor to Outdoor Research's Whitefish jacket, which I replaced with this jacket. The Whitefish was sized a little strange...too small in the body in a size small, and way too long in the arms in the size medium.
Anyway, if you need a non-packable, warm, good looking jacket at a reasonable price...you could do much worse!

Warm puffy jacket for cold weatherBought this jacket midwinter for the colder days when the primaloft type stuff doesn’t cut it. It delivers and keeping warm in those cold days. I like the waterproof factor also. Detachable hood a great feature. Many days I don’t need a hood and like the look without it, but have used the good option a few times when I wanted it. It is a bit puffy like a down jacket should be, but the styling and the texture of the materials make it look more stylish than a puffy jacket. Fit is generous. The XXL still roomy and comfortable despite that not being the case for me in some other brands and cuts. This jacket is definitely not a “fitted” cut.
