Warmth without bulk
This WarmCube Hoody offers plenty of warmth in a package that is still quite packable. Temps dropped into the low teens last week and this kept me comfy over non-technical base layers like flannel shirts. I look forward to seeing how it does in what is looking to be a very chilly and snowy winter.

Solid Jacket
Overall a solid jacket. I live in Chicago and have been wearing it in 30-50 degree weather and staying warm. The jacket fits me perfectly (5’8” 160 lbs size medium). The only thing I do wish that was a feature would be a waterproof outer shell.

Awesome Jacket!
So the WarmCube design really does work! I was wearing the jacket and moving around and it allowed it to breathe and once you stay stationary it warms right back up. The fit was good too (6’3’, 195lbs, Size L). It is more of an athletic cut so if you want some room go up a size. This jacket makes me excited about cooler weather
This jacket might be the most perfect light winter jacket on the planet.
I had actually been looking for a jacket of this sort of insulation pouched design for a while. I wasn't willing to spend $200 plus on one of these because I rarely spend $200 on any one single clothing purchase. I wait until I can find the right combination of discounts and then pull the trigger, usually on more than one to have an extra because I love the look and feel. Then, this one came on sale for just over $100 down from almost $300 and I pulled the trigger quickly on two different colors - one beige and one plum. Both jackets look stellar and are very warm.
What makes these jackets even more valuable is their versatility. It's not too thick which makes it somewhat packable for flights or hiking/camping. But the style also blends well with other looks making it a good pick for most looks rather than something I can only make blend with a handful of outfits or colors. They both fit comfortably under my Gore-Tex Pro and Core-Tex Active tops for more wet weather. And, with layering, I could see these jackets working well in below 30 degree weather. I'm excited to get lots of use out of them both in our Texas winters.

Looks great, wish it had a chest pocket
It's still too warm out to test out it's advertised capabilities, but the build quality is exactly what I expect from Marmot. The only ding I would give on this particular model is the lack of a chest pocket for something like my smart phone. For practically 2/3 off the MSRP for a previous year's colorway, who can really complain though, am I right?

Unfortunately, we do not have numbers to share, but the jacket itself is very lightweight (500 grams for an insulated jacket) and uses the Warmcube Active technology, what makes it use less space in your backpack than most of our products. It makes the jacket very packable and it won't take too much space of your backpack. Hi there, We are very sorry to inform you that we are unable to provide temperature ratings on our clothes as there are multiple factors that render such matter too subjective (weather conditions, sensitivity to temperature change, etc.). The only product type we perform the EN (European Norm) Testing on are sleeping bags. You may refer to such ratings by clicking on a chosen sleeping bag and consulting the Specifications tab.
