easy setup, strong construction, spacious flyOrbit6 was easy to setup first time outta the bag- my family & I are seasoned campers. Fly covers nearly 100% to the ground. Held up in strong gusting winds, microburst of Sawtooth mtns. Slept seven souls: six side by side & seventh at our feet; paco pads & ridge rests. Spacious vestibule for kitchen table, seating, & still room for easy entrance, egress. ONE SUGGESTION- HAVE A PRIVACY SHIELD IN TENT DOOR FOR WARMTH & PRIVACY.

Great tent! This tent is gigantic! The vestibule can sub as a carport. The sleeping quarters slept my family of four comfortably with room for a dog or 2. The carrying bag ripped almost right away, but who cares, it’s a car camping tent. I set it up, unknowingly, the night of tropical storm rolling through my neighborhood. No problem. Some flex but held strong. A few months later, knowingly, went camping in the white mountains in a driving rain. No problem. Completely dry throughout interior of tent and vestibule. If you are looking for a good car camping tent, look no further.

Decent quality tentI used this as a base camp tent (cooking/relaxing) for winter fieldwork. I chose the Orbit 6P because I couldn't afford a fancy base-camp tent, and I liked the vestibule size, which was larger than similar priced tents. The size of the vestibule was great for cooking out of the weather and storing field kit, but perhaps a little too large. Overall, it did remarkably well, given it was designed for relaxed family camping trips, rather than as a base camp tent for a cold, wet, windy, remote island (we of course took it down when high winds were predicted). As expected, vestibule poles were quickly bent out of shape - not that it mattered. In hindsight, the smaller 4P version could have been better. The 6P wasn't designed for what we used it for, but it was a pragmatic solution.

Fairly well made but poorly designed.Cheap poles (bent after one use).
Not supplied with enough pegs.
Vestibule door secures with elasticated toggles, it’s not wind or waterproof.
Lack of loops in vestibule means there is nowhere to hang lighting.
Inner first pitching means your sleeping area will get wet if you pitch in the rain.
Very difficult to set up in a breeze without lots of assistance.
It did keep us dry in a torrential rainstorm but our kit in the vestibule was not so lucky.
There are better designed tents for the money.

MASSIVEThis might as well be a tiny house. It has plenty of room in the tent itself for two people on a double wide pad and two Bernese on their beds. The vestibule was tall enough for a 6'1" friend to stand without touching the top. Set up was super easy with the color coded pole system.
