Description
Thanks to its indestructible design, the freestanding Thor 3-Person Tent has become a go-to shelter for lengthy alpine expeditions, mountaineering treks, and other epic adventures. Two D-shaped doors offer easy access, while their two vestibules—plus an extra at the front—stow all the gear you need. If the sky suddenly opens up with rain or snow, identical pole lengths make for an easy setup, the seam-taped catenary-cut floor resists pooling, and the seam-taped full-coverage fly features vents and snow flaps. Tuck a headlamp into the lampshade pocket for ambient light at night.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Winter Tent This tent is an absolute beast. My girlfriend and I bought this as a winter tent in 2020 and it is completely fantastic. So far it his gone through a blizzard in Canyonlands, a windstorm in the Badlands that destroyed most of the other tents in the campsite, and a lot of cold nights. It has come out of all of this with flying colors. This tent easily fits two 6'3" people and gear. It is about 20F warmer than the outside temperature and kept us toasty in sub-zero weather. It's also very thoughtfully designed with lots of accessible pockets, reflective strips on the outside, dual layer doors, and better than the usual pegs. If you need a winter tent this is the one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lots of space, well ventilated & plenty of pockets Bought this a few months prior to a five day backpacking trip in the lower cascade mountains. This biggest highlight of this tent is how easy it is to setup. Having clips for the rainfly that are "glove friendly" and all of the tent poles (excluding the vestibule pole) the same size is fantastic! Pros: Withstands high winds, great ventilation, plenty of pockets to stash small gear in, good sized vestibule, easy to setup. Cons: Heavy in an already heavy winter backpack.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome tent I've had my Thor 3p for about 6 years now and couldn't be more pleased. It's pretty easy to setup, but with all the poles it might be a bit confusing for the first time or 2. I put it together, taking my time, in about 10 minutes. Yes, I could do it faster, but I'm not in a hurry. Even though it's a 4 season tent I've found it be be great in the Oklahoma summers as well. Set it up, open the roof vents and vestibules, then open the doors on each end and the breeze will keep it fairly cool. Not only that, there have been some pretty severe winds and thunderstorms (40+mph winds) while camping with it and I've never been wet inside the tent, and the gear in the vestibule areas is dry as well. I'd definitely recommend it for anyone needing a tent for 2 or 3 people.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Bomb-proof tent...but heavy I've owned this tent for around 10 years now and used it on Mt Shasta, Mt Baker, and all over the Cascades in very windy and cold conditions. This tent holds up exceptionally well, I've had to replace the fly after 6 years because of some delamination but other than that it still performs well. This is one of the few 3P tents that I've found can actually fit three people relatively comfortably. Setup is easy, ventilation is great, and the large vestibules are great, especially if you do have 3 people in the tent. My only negative (and the reason for 4 stars) is the weight. However, if you split up the tent between 3 people it's not too bad. Otherwise, great tent!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Set this up once at home to familiarize myself, quite intuitive, similar to my 10+ year-old Marmot tent. Was able to setup after a really long day by headlamp, including rainfly. Did not even need to stake it down, the poles were enough and it poured and was windy. Woke up completely dry, used 3 stakes to extend vestibules, then tightened up rainfly straps, and this took care of any sagging, so rain rolled right off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My go to piece of equipment I have had my Thor 3p/4s tent for 7 or 8 years now. It continues to perform. It can be cool in the summer and protect you in the winter. Presently I am resealing the rain fly and getting ready for a southwestern boon docking trip (its the only way I roll). Starting in Chicago and continuing to LA. This tent performs.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from too bad for first time This is the first tent we’ve purchased from marmot and used just this weekend for Saranac lake camping..it was just sad that the place we went to was raining and the temperature is between 26-40s and we got went in our tent..I was really expecting that our trip would be awesome knowing we have the best and expensive tent but that proved it wrong..it really helped with the wind but not with the 20 temperature and rain..
