Description
The semi-freestanding Superalloy 2-Person Tent is ultralight, yet still has the premium features you need to make your campsite the ultimate home away from home. Its vertical walls provide plenty of sleeping space, while the strategic clip placement offers more interior volume for stretching out. If the forecast turns, the rain-shield flysheet won’t stretch out after it gets wet, plus it resists UV damage. Its vented seam-taped full-coverage fly and bathtub floor provide additional weather protection. Color-coded “easy pitch" clips and poles make it easy to set up quickly. Stash your pack, poles, and other gear in the two vestibules and tuck a headlamp into the UV lampshade pocket.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light and stable solution for summer Lived in this tent for two weeks during the expedition to Verhneangarsky Rigde, Baikal area (Russia). The weather was warm, but mosquitoes were the main issue bellow the forest line. Lightness and compactness are the key features. The stability is enough for thunderstorm, don't forget to use velcro clipping points on the fly. Tent is roomy for two people (luxury if you are alone), long enough, two vestibules allows easy exit/enter options without disturbing you tentmate.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lightweight, efficient My hiking buddies and I sometimes have an odd number, meaning someone is sleeping solo and not sharing the tent’s weight while hiking. I was looking for a 1-man tent, but when I saw the specs on this tent, I knew I’d found what I was looking for. It is comparable in weight to most 1-man shelters, and better than some, while still providing enough room for two when needed. There are always compromises to be made when cutting tent weight, but I think Marmot got this one right. One end of the tent must be staked, but the whole set-up was intuitive, quick and easy. It’s a nice-looking tent, too, if that matters to you, and it packs down really small. If you are counting ounces and want a versatile tent for 1 or 2, take a long look here.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great lightweight tent! I've used this on a week-long bikepacking trip and a dozen nights out hiking, and I have to say I'm impressed. Had it through some downpours and everything stayed dry. Had an issue with the bathtub floor being loose at the doors, but I wasn't clipping the crossbar correctly which fixed it. Speaking of the crossbar, it provides plenty of headroom which is quite nice. The entirety of the top being mesh meant I had zero issues with condensation, the wind flow is great. Speaking of wind, with the fly being just long enough to cover the mesh, I did have some issues with wind coming in at higher elevations in September, but it wasn't too bad. I picked this up for around 375 Canadian dollars, and for that price I'd highly recommend it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall great, but could use small improvements. Super light, roomy, but use guidelines in freezing conditions. Two of the side net mesh panels stuck to the rain fly when the rain froze in Yellowstone’s backcountry. Had to peel them apart in the morning, but guidelines to help keep the rain fly off the netting would have solved this. Also the pockets totally suck. I’m going to have to sew them partially up to actually hold something. Really love the bathtub part and the front edges that prop up. You can also see the stars great through the netting, compared to other tents I’ve been in.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Backpacking Go To Took this tent on a 3 day trip up the Hoh River in Olympic National Park. Not surprisingly it rained the entire time. Tent was light weight easy to set up. After sitting in the rain all day the rain fly would sag in a few spots and push up against the tent, but was able to stay dry in a down pour. The vestibule entry is a little low for me as I couldn’t get in it without rubbing against the rainfly which evidently shook a lot of the water free and spattered into my tent a bit. But overall a great tent, feels like a 1 person tent all packed up

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another great Marmot tent! I'm loving this new super light tent. I owned the Marmot Limelight for years and it held up incredibly well, so I'm confident that Marmot's new Superalloy will too. I recently went on a backpacking trip and with a footprint, it was still under 3 lbs which was awesome. It rained most of the time and my things stayed dry, despite the water that seemed to hold in the mesh - I was a little nervous of that but there wasn't a problem. I was also caught in an aggressive wind storm and everything held up just fine, again to my surprise. It's a little different getting used to having to stake down the one end, even without the rainfly. I also agree with other reviews that I wish there were more inside compartments (mainly it'd be nice to have an overhead net), but it's not a dealbreaker. Overall, super happy with the Superalloy so far!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tent, please fix the pockets! We took this tent on a backpacking trip through Yosemite and couldn't be happier with it. It packs up great, it's light to carry, and it looks great too. Like many other reviews, I would agree that the pockets could use some reworking to angle the opening toward the top of the tent to prevent items from sliding out. Other than that, no complaints.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tent Got it last summer and used it on a number of short backpacking trips. It is much lighter than my old tent and really well engineered. I find it very satisfying how all the parts fit together and I feel like every detail was thought through well. It also feels more spacious than most tents I've seen with similar weight. Love the door on each side but it makes shaking out dirt extremely difficult. Defiantly worth it though so you aren't claiming over each other to get to the single exit at the feet (like my old tent)
