Description
Even if you’re way, way in the backwoods, you won’t sacrifice a good night’s sleep in the Hammer 2-Person Tent. Get that and more with this 4-season tent, thanks to waterproof nylon ripstop fabric that shields you from rain, snow, and other unfavorable weather. Finally make it to your destination and the sky opens up? The single-wall construction is simple to set up, so you can take shelter faster. Keep precipitation out with its seam-taped, catenary-cut bathtub floor that resists pooling, attach the included vestibule with snow flaps if the temps drop below freezing, and use the internal guy out system once the wind picks up. Stow your gear in the interior pockets, and use the light-reflective points to identify your campsite at night.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Top Ranked Single Wall Tent Disclaimer, I'm a Marmot gear tester. I've used the Bibler I-Tent and the BD First Light. The Hammer ranks alongside these two in terms of weight, packability, footprint etc. For resistance to weather, the Hammer works as well as any single wall out there. Like all 4-season single walls, this is spendy, but I highly recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm Light and Fast This is a warm and light 4 season tent. I love it that I can leave behind the vestibule when I take it just for me or carry it when needed. It hasn't been true winter yet so I've only had it down to 19F and it was warm enough to keep the door open. A few things to know if you don't get the poles just right its a struggle but if you do get it right (pay attention to which end goes in back and don't attach the clips too early) its easy so well worth the practice at home first. Note it doesn't have any bug mesh over the ventilation which is fine for winter and helps keep it light and streamlined but if you want to use it for a buggy shoulder season keep looking..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this tent!! I live in Colorado and bought this tent for all season weather. It keeps me so warm and dry during a storm but isn’t stifling in the summer. Has held up through snow, hail and wind that had other peoples gear flying all over the place. The vestibule is nice to store gear and keep it out of the elements without taking up space inside. I wouldn’t want to share a 2 person tent with another but it can fit 2 wide sleeping pads. 10/10 recommend marmot tents!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid, Warm, but Wet! The Hammer is a great tent that will hold up against the worst rain, wind, and hail storms. It's easy to set up and is quite simple and light for how much protection it provides. Our only struggle was with ventilation. We would wake up with wet hair most days even with both vents wide open all night. The area we were in was quite humid, but in the future, I will be reserving the Hammer for only the coldest and most brutal conditions.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well made tent, but no views or air I only set this up at my house, but the interior tent poles were really quite difficult to do by myself. The tent felt very solid, and has no mesh windows, so when you’re in there, it’s all darkness, 0 airflow, and too warm for any season but winter. I bet in a storm it’s wonderful but it’s really a 1 season tent, for the winter. Swapped it out for the Fortress and love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very nice lightweight 4 season tent I bought the Hammer 2-Person Tent for my son for use on Mt. Baker and Mt. Rainier this summer. I liked the features, light weight, and slightly roomier interior dimensions of this single-wall tent versus some other similar brands. I like the vestibule design and the interior poles. This tent will get used alot as it is sturdy for 4 season use and yet lightweight. My son plans to use this tent the whole month of June camping in the snow on the mountainside. Will need to store gear and climbing equipment inside and have room for one to sleep also. Have not tested in the field yet but will this June.

Also, at this point I am afraid we are unable to provide the specific (g/m2/24h) ratings for this tent, however it is highly considered a 4 season tent for no reason. It is lightweight but performs great in winter/mountains conditions.

If you have any more questions, please reach out to us via https://www.marmot.com/support/contact-us or through LiveChat.
