Roomy, lightweight, and with all the measures to ensure Mother Nature doesn’t get the best of your overnight adventure, the Fortress 2-Person Tent is true to its name. The vented full fabric canopy and two half-mesh zippered D doors lock out plunging temps, while additional guy outs secure your campsite when wind gusts pick up. Keep rain from sneaking in with its seam-taped, catenary-cut floor and full-coverage vented fly. Zone pre-bend construction creates vertical walls for plenty of sleeping space and headroom for stretching out. After a long day of backpacking, color-coded "easy pitch" clips and poles make for an easy set up, and the lampshade pocket stows your headlamp for ambient light at night.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Features This tent was 9-10 degrees warmer inside than the outside air during a fall overnight. Vestibules are not huge. More loops and lines for stakes than there are stakes. With all these stake tie downs and loops, this is the tent you want for a storm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So happy with my purchase Great for backpacking, great for beginners. My fiance is 6"3 and fits in it! It's the easiest thing to set up... First time using it it rained hard.. the canopy made it so no rain got in. I would recommend buying the foot print for the tent.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this Tent I bought this tent (the 3P version) a few months ago. I’ve used it in several very heavy thunderstorm situations in the southeast, and it’s kept me warm and dry despite heavy rain and high winds. It truly is a fortress. Also easy to setup. My husband, myself and my dog all use the 3P comfortably. Highly recommend.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to set up and light Finally used this on a two night backpacking trip in Upper Michigan. After some playing around I was able to get it to pack into my bag well. On night two I was able to get it totally set up in 11 minutes and down in 16 the next morning. Cons: no simple way to secure back vestibule door. After some manipulation I made it work but no expected an obvious hook and loop or so. Also, the vent at the top has no screen. I cannot for the life of me understand the purpose of that. Size was good, it would be a snug for two but it was great for me and I was able to spread out a bit. Didn't have any problems with leaks or condensation, even after a wet night when it had rained all day. Pockets on side were useful for storage at well as the hook on top for flashlight lanyard.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can't go wrong! Great tent, very durable. Extremely easy to set up. Took one person less than 3 minutes to get it up. I haven't used it in harsh conditions yet but in normal Utah summer conditions, did great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Truly a Fortress I absolutely love camping, no matter what the weather is like. Early last spring, I was camping, and the guy at the site next to me had an awesome looking, bright orange little tent that piqued my interest. I googled the tent when I got back, and it was a Marmot. So I took a flyer and bought it. It was worth every single penny I spent. On my second trip with it, we got a surprise foot of snow. Would it be an issue? Absolutely not. The vestibules gave me a good dry place to keep my shoes and wipe my feet before going in. And the thick mesh and compact design kept the heat in. Believe it or not, my dear tent kept me and my dog warmer than the camper kept my parents. And I kept dry, as well. Also worth noting, it takes me alone only about 5 minutes to set up. I have no complaints whatsoever. If you're contemplating buying it, do it. You won't regret it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Structurally very sound. Great quality to price I was looking for an all season tent. I used the Fortress on our last home to the Smokies in the winter. We got hit with an overnight winter storm and it did not budge. It she'd the snow and the features allowed full function in the tent. I had condensation develop, but I had not opened the vents. I would purchase again. This will say the review was done for a promo, but I had meant to post this anyway.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rock Solid I own 4 or 5 Marmot UL tents for backpacking but didn't want to use them when on long motorcycle camping trips. We often encounter bad weather in Wyoming and Montana so wanted something that could stand up to heavy winds and rain. The first time I set this tent up I knew I had made a good decision. Easy to set up and is strong enough to stand up to anything I will get caught in. Plus, Marmot tents are warranted for life!
