Its strategic clip placement offers more interior volume for stretching out after a long day on the mountain. If a sudden downpour approaches, the color-coded "easy pitch" clips and poles make for a quick set up, and the seam-taped catenary-cut floor and full-coverage vented fly add to its weather protection. The vestibule storage space, lampshade pocket that securely holds your headlamp, and included abrasion-resistant footprint round out the details that make life on the trail easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Security & Great value! Debated long and hard about buying a more expensive lighter tent. For $100-$250 more you can shave about 1lb of weight. I picked this tent up with footprint for $149. It has endured gale force winds, heavy snow, and fierce downpours. I don’t worry at all about this tent holding up to the elements. I know it will withstand whatever Mother Nature throws at me. Many of the UL tents out there aren’t freestanding, have such thin materials and multiple plastic intersection connectors that can break, and don’t come with a footprint. The Tungsten gives you the security knowing it can handle any weather condition and provides tremendous value! Love my tent!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from seams are sewn off - roof sags! Similar to a reviewer below, my tent has been sewn in a way that will not allow, no matter how I stake it with guy lines, the roof to be pulled tight. The roof sags, and anything in the overhead pocket slides out at the slightest provocation - ie in the middle of the night into my face. I love the size, the layout, and the design features of the tent, and it was a carefully researched purchase, but I cannot seam (get it) to get a hold of anyone in their customer service department for this particular issue. Its not a damaged issue under warranty. If anyone at marmot is reading these or listening - I would love some advice about how to remedy this unique issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed Needed a lightweight, solo tent to get out and explore. The Tungsten looked to check off all the right features, so I decided to give it a try. Could not be happier! Weight was good and easy to set-up. I'm 6'1" and 190lbs, so there was not a ton of extra space, but it's a lightweight solo tent! I fit comfortably and had no issues keeping my boots and some random items in the tent, while my back had room in the vestibule. Here in South Dakota, the wind blows more or less non-stop. I had pretty steady 15-20 mph winds in the evening, and wasn't bothered at all by the tent flapping - hardly noticed it once I got in. Can't wait to use it on my next adventure!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Roomy value Bought this for solo backpacking based upon my experience with Marmot Aspen 3P (Limelight) & Marmot Trestle 15's in Alaska & was not disappointed in the quality of the tent, the roominess or it's weather proofing. Along Lake Superior in Pictured Rocks National Shoreline in Oct., I had one night of good weather & enjoyed great ventilation & space, the other 3 nights it was cold & raining. It kept me warm & dry with no problem of condensation. I was in a protected camp site, but noticed no buffeting & the fly remained taut all night. Very quick & easy to set up with enough floor space for personal items & the roomy vestibule was great for my backpack. It fit my needs & wants just great great. Would like it a little lighter but wouldn't give up Marmot's durability for the rocky & root ground here in Michigan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice looking, easy set up Purchase this tent for use on the AT hike 2022. The tent arrived on time. I set the tent up (easy). Crawled inside, added gear and mats & laid inside. The tent was cozy not claustrophobic. The tent is very lite weight. Everything was easily reached from sitting position. I have not used in any bad weather but soon it will be put through the test.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Tent was received with defect in seam There is defect in how the seam on one corner is sewn. The screen fabric is folded into one seam. See attached pictures. This is surely going to tear with use. I bought this directly from Marmot. I both emailed & called Marmot multiple times within days of receiving the tent. I proceeded to try & contact Marmot for 2 months after purchasing. I am still trying to request this tent be replaced with a new one that does not have a defect. I would like the tent if not defective. Terrible customer service. Bordering a scam.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this tent! I bought this tent a couple of months ago and used it for a 3 day solo backpacking trip. It is super easy to set up. My favorite feature is that the fly buckles on to tent near the poles. Other tents I've owned you have to remove tent pole from grommet in order to put up the fly, which is no fun in a sudden downpour. This tent is well-engineered for maximum space and headroom. First time I've bought Marmot brand, but I'm ready to get the 2 person version of this tent for camping with my boyfriend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great! My Second One! I do multiple day Horse Trail Rides. The 1P is the perfect tent for me. Small and light as not to take up too much room. If you can't carry it, you don't need it. Lots of room inside, the rain fly makes a perfect entrance when in crowded places, I take the fly off when it's not too dewey and I'm alone and enjoy the view. This is my second one because I let one of my daughters use my original one to go to Colorado and knock a 12, 13 &14 (Mt. Elbert) off her list. She like it so much, I let her keep it.
