Its ElixeR™ Micro synthetic insulation uses a unique blend of three fibers for maximum warmth, soft handfeel, and high loft. After an epic day on the mountain, give your feet a rest in the roomy wrap-around footbox. The 3D hood construction limits heat loss, while the slim mummy fit reduces weight and increases thermal efficiency. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Have Bag, Will Camp! I bought this bag initially because I needed a new lightweight bag in the 30 degree range. I got it for a backpacking trip I have coming up but got to test it out at field camp in Wyoming. I spent evenings snug in this bag in the Bighorns, Shoshone and in the Bridger-Tetons. Some nights dipped to 29 and most nights were around 35. I put my down puffy in the bottom on sub-30 evenings and I was fine. I feel I put this bag through the test for what it advertises and I can't wait to backpack with it. Great bag at 1lb/12oz. ***This had no bearing on my comfort but it might for some. I can see this bag being a little slim for certain builds so check the dimensions or go up a size before you buy (:

Rated 4 out of 5 by from High Quality, Highly Compressible, Light Weight! The Marmot Ultra Elite 30 offers a competitive alternative to similar down bags at half the cost. The bag uses quality workmanship and materials for a light weight and highly compressible option for anyone who backpacks with a smaller volume pack, or for solo hunters who need the extra space. Colder sleepers should note the comfort rating of 41.9F if shopping for a sleeping bag to use at higher altitudes or shoulder seasons, however. Quality: Marmot obviously used high quality materials and paid attention to details when designing the UE30. Users will immediately notice this with the sheer comfort of the bag as well as minor details like the inside pocket, dual zipper with zipper garages at each end, and two different hood pull cords, (the hood cord is round, and the neck cord is flat). I've only seen this on one other bag so far, and it’s a game-changer when making micro heat adjustments in the dark. The oversize zipper works smoothly from inside or out of the bag and doesn’t snag, and Marmot even included a glow-in-the-dark pull cord. A zipper garage at each end protects the snoozer from scraping on a cold zipper while shifting around, and the zipper draft collar works as advertised. Pack-ability: The UE30 compresses down to the height of a Nalgene and about the width of two with its included, (thanks Marmot!), high quality compression sack. This makes it comparable to the compressed size of most 20F ultralight down bags and also no longer takes up space as the, “biggest thing in the way of the thing you need,” in a pack. You can bring this bag and a whole toothbrush! Warmth: I spent a night on the covered deck of an Alaska State Ferry near Ketchikan back in March to try out the bag and get some fresh air. The temperatures lingered in the low 40s with the PNW’s usual misty rain and a light breeze about 5-8 kts so I wore a merino base layer, socks, and a fleece cap to start, and added a light puffy early in the morning. I’m a medium/cold sleeper and the bag’s comfort rating of 41.9F seemed accurate though oddly specific. Maybe the one-tenth of a degree below 42F matters, or maybe it’s indicative of Marmot’s attention to detail on the UE. More importantly though, the bag breathed exceptionally well and maintained its loft through the night allowing me to wake up dry and comfortable. If I could add one thing to the bag, however, I would add a draft collar at the price of a few ounces and $20-$30. The small sacrifice in weight would add a significant amount of warmth and maybe drop the comfort rating into the high 30s. Fit: At 5’9” and 155Lbs, I found the regular size bag to be narrow around the knees and hip, and just roomy enough at the shoulders to roll around. I’m a mobile, belly-down/side sleeper who usually wakes up halfway off a sleeping pad, so someone who sleeps on his or her back comfortably may not notice the bag’s slim fit. I would happily sacrifice the extra sprawl room for the weight and compressed size of this bag and never felt uncomfortably restricted, but someone taller than about 5’10” should consider the long size bag. Someone with really broad shoulders or wide hips may want to crawl into the bag for a test fit before buying. Ultimately, I purchased the Ultra Elite 30 for summer backpacking in damp climates where I don’t trust down bags to hold their loft, even with DWR treated down fill. Marmot built the bag with quality materials and workmanship which I have no doubt will last over years of hard use. It’s comfortable, ultralight, ultra-compressible, dry, and full of small ergonomic details that users will appreciate.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Ultra Elite 30° Good bag! Super light and comfy. Kept me warm with temps in the mid 40s. It's a tight fit though, and I'm a slim guy. Be prepared to not have much room in the bag at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light weight, warm, extremely packable! Recently used this for a back country colorado elk hunt. Nights were in the low 30s and this bag was very warm, extremely light (35oz) with compression sack and compresses small. Foot box is a little snug but expected for the weight. I'm 5'10 & 165 and it fit great. Absolute great value for a light weight bag!!
