Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cooked My Kid Got this for my son when he was about 9, expecting it to last him well into his teens. Unfortunately, it's so warm and well built, it literally toasted him one autumn night. Guess I'll have to hand it down to my next child. JK obviously. He's 13 now and he still loves it. It's kept him warm and snuggly on the even the coldest nights.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing quality and comfort! I bought two for different climates and they both are amazing! Very warm and comfortable. I am looking forward to many trips with these.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Filling problems after 2 years. Worked great first couple years (usage about 10 nights a year) but now the filling starts to "separate" and there is big holes in the insulation. Not good anymore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Will keep you warm, but large and hefty I purchased this bag for short winter backpacking, camping, and snow shelter overnight trips. I tested it for two nights in the low 20's in preparation for a backpacking trip and the bag worked well. (I slept in the Catalyst 2P tent... a 3 season tent, but it worked for me as there was only a dusting of snow) I'm 6'1 so I opted for the long bag, which is roomy, but my girlfriend has the regular bag and it is just a little too short for me. It was nice to be able to stuff my jacket, gloves and extra pants in the bag to stay warm for putting on in the morning. The regular size would work in a bind, but I wouldn't recommend it. The bag is huge, thick, and heavy, but if you are using a pulk sled or on a short trip, the extra weight and bulk is not a problem. My partner and I are vegans and we did not want to buy down bags, although a light weight and more compressible bag would be nice! Nonetheless, for where we live in Oregon, synthetic is a good option because of rain and moisture. I look forward to more innovation in synthetic bags in the future! For now, this bag will keep you warm. One last note: It is not a big difference, but slightly misleading... on the bag it says the actual EN limit is 1.9F or -16.7C... with the title being "Trestles 0" it would have been nice if the low rating was actually 0F as the name and listing on the website imply. Additionally, the comfort zone for a woman is listed as 15.3F/-9.3C...that is something to keep in mind as it is significantly different than 0F. All in all, the bag seems durable and well-priced. One tiny positive surprise was a glow-in-the-dark attachment on the zipper, a nice touch!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Sleeping Bag Very warm and comfy however it is pretty big so it’s not ideal for backpacking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very warm and cozy cocoon This is the first bag I bought after really understanding the science of temperature rating, comfort rating as well as combining the proper R value sleeping pad and base layer. I’m 6’5” and 250 pounds, this bag fit perfectly. There is plenty of room to spin around and enough elbow/arm room as well as plenty of length, at the same time still snug enough to not allow too much air space in order to keep insulated and warm. I’ve tent camped with a lightweight synthetic base layer and 6.0 R-value pad at or below 19 degrees just fine. The versatility of the baffle and draw strings as well as combination of zippers on both sides allows for any combination of configurations to allow comfort at many temperatures. As others have said it is obviously not designed to carry on a pack, but for car camping it is unbelievable. I absolutely love this bag and ended up purchasing one for my wife, and 3 more for our camping family members. Great bag and great price. Thanks Marmot!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best winter sleeping bags I got this sleeping bag about a year ago to camp in the winter. It's great for car camping and backpacking. It's really not that heavy for a winter backpacking setup. Always keeps me warm in the Arkansas winter months, which gets down to the low 20s-30s. The fabric is absolutly amazing. It's so soft but durable.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Warm Bag - Packs Huge Though I bought this a year ago and I have been happy with the warmth. I have slept in this down to about 15 degrees Fahrenheit. I have never felt cold in this bag. It is also very versatile, I have used it in temperatures up to 50 degrees. It is nice to be able to open it up but still have a bag with me for comfort. I have several other bags, but I usually grab this one. Sometimes the zipper does snag, but I haven't had a bag that doesn't. What causes me not to grab this one? When I need space. If I am car camping, then this bag is a no brainer for me. If I am going to backpack or carry my gear very far, then this bag is WAY too big packed up. I take a lot of motorcycle trips as well and have found that this bag packs up even a little too large for most of those trips. The short version is, if you want a warm bag for a good price then this is a great option, but if you need something that will pack small, then go with a down bag. Synthetic just doesn't pack that well yet...
