When the temperature drops to arctic levels, reach for the WarmCube™ Expedition Sleeping Bag. The 800-fill-power down, synthetic HL-ElixR Micro™ insulation, and Pertex Quantum® shell fabric combine to provide superior coverage for summit bid-worthy adventures. Protected by a water-resistant layer of overlapping baffles, innovative 3D WarmCube construction prevents down fill from being displaced and traps heat in the surrounding channels so you stay warm—no matter what. An anatomically designed footbox, the two-way YKK zipper with a down-filled draft tube, and a cinchable draft collar and hood further limit heat loss.

High performance bag too large for backpackingBelieve them when they say it’s an “expedition bag”. It is massive. It also comes with a giant stuff sack about 40L in capacity. This said, it is not ideal for backpacking and more geared towards base camp setups and packing in on a sled or mule pack. It would not comfortably fit in my 95L pack even when compressed as much as I could get it. I returned it for the CWM -40 but it was clear that this bag is an extremely high performance bag for the most demanding conditions. The WarmCube design is neat. The Pertex shell seems really good. I would recommend it, but keep in mind that it is an expedition bag, not a bag that will easily be backpackable.

Excellent bag, but be mindful of the sizeWhile I have not had the chance to put it through its full paces just yet (ordered in high summer, looking forward to winter), the bag itself is very comfortable and well made. The WarmCube technology keeps the down where it is supposed to be and I expect it to keep me warm on the coldest nights. I am happy with my purchase. But keep in mind that just like another reviewer said here it is big and will not comfortably compress down to fit into a standard backpack. The down and construction will not allow for it, it is truly an expedition bag. Be prepared for this contingency and this bag will be your go-to on very cold nights.
