Rated 5 out of 5 by from Himalaya Proven Just got back from a month climbing Pumori in the himalayas. This bag was the only thing that kept me sane and warm when it got to -15 degrees every night. Big enough to store a load of clothes, hot water bottle and inner boots in it every night, as well as me. Everything else in the tents froze overnight, especially at high camps, except this. Worked fine down to -20, and it appeared to provide better insulation than other big mountain down bags I used above 18,000ft, including some standard bags being used in high camps on Everest this year. Got to be one of a few products out there that can actually handle what it says it can.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I used this sleeping bag on I used this sleeping bag on Denali this year during the early climbing season. With 25 days on the mountain and frequent -30F temperatures this bag kept we warm. My tent mate commented multiple times on how comfortable my bag looked. I can verify that this bag was comfortable from not only a warmth standpoint but also the size. I was able to keep my boot liners, camera batteries, and 2 water bottles inside the bag while maintaining enough space to toss and turn throughout the night. How many other mummy bags can provide that?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Yeah, Baby. This bag replaced my 30+ year old Marmot Penguin, which I've had on 5 Alaska range trips, hundreds of Sierra and cascade trips, and lived in a Yurt near Truckee for a number of years using. I loved that bag, but its time was up. The new Cwm was a welcome addition to the sleeping bag fleet, and is every bit as warm as my now old beat to death penguin once was. I look forward to another 30 years of abusing this bag in cold, cold , windy places, while snoring like a lumber mill at 30 below.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Marmot CWM sleeping bag review I have had this sleeping bag for over a month now and have tested it in 25F air temps so far. I have been very impressed with the heat this bag generates. I was warm within 2 minutes of entering the bag.  I found myself venting the bag as it would get too hot even though I was in underwear. The MemBrain material works extremely well, I did not notice any condensation on the bag's outer surface at any time. I also like that Marmot has tiny snap closures for the neck baffle. The zipper guard could be stiffer and wider as I do find the zippers will still snag on the full length draft tubes (Western Mountaineering does this right BTW). The bag lofts quickly once out of the stuff sack. The vertical baffles seem to do a great job and the foot box works well too. I like the hanging loops for drying/storing this sleeping bag, it is a nice touch by Marmot. Definitely recommended and a steal for the price I paid. Good job Marmot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and cozy Although this bag adds some extra weight to my pack, it allows me to rest assured that I will be warm and cozy after a long day of playing hard outside. I'm now using this bag for my second winter outdoors in northern Wisconsin and have not been disappointed. I accidentally dumped a liter of water INSIDE the sleeping bag lady week and it dried without compromising the down within three hours outside in the sunshine although it was soaked and below freezing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from home away from home This bag is awesome, being from fairbanks AK it hits -30 to -40 quite a bit and i have never been cold or felt any kind of discomfort sleeping in a tent in the mountains at these temps. This is by far one of the best purchases i have made for winter camping.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from "Nuage" This bag is absolutely incredible, best christmas gift I coulda given myself. Not only do you effortlessly stay warm on even the coldest nights, but it literally feels like I'm sleeping on a cloud, hence what I named it. For the many nights I've used it so far, its the first time I'm camping but wake up feeling like I've slept in my bed at home. Thank you Marmot!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and "packable" I bought this sleeping bag after a North Face -20 Inferno bag proved not warm enough on some trips to Alaska or western Yellowstone in the winter. My biggest complaint with my old bag, other than not being warm enough, was that if I was sweaty when I got into it, all of the down got wet, and it lost a lot of insulating properties. The material of this Marmot -40 degree bag is much more water resistant, feels more durable, and it's been overall just a warmer, more comfortable bag. It packs "small" for what it is - and I feel more confident with it (especially with dogs!) because the material seems of a nicer quality. The foot box is comfortable. I don't need a pillow with this bag because it's just so dang POOFY. I really love it. I gave my husband my old bag and he's stoked with it, but only because he hasn't tried this one yet. ;)
