Rated 2 out of 5 by from Such a disappointment! I purchased this pack to replace my Marmot Edge backpack (circa 2012). That pack is a Beast. The only reason I was looking for a replacement is because after 8 years and countless miles the mesh side pockets are definitely starting to show their age and I wanted something comparable to use while I sent the Edge in for renewal/repair. The Tool Box 30 is definitely not it. I bought the "Box" directly from the Marmot website but I can't believe the difference in materials, quality and construction between the two bags, if it didn't actually have Marmot stitched on it I would call you a liar if you told me they were made by the same company, it really feels like a cheap knock off or counterfeit. Don't get me wrong, I love Marmot and believe in their brand which is why they were my first choice for a new pack but The Box doesn't look or feel like it would hold up to 8 months of what I put the Edge through, let alone 8 years. This one is going back and my search will continue.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Comfortable Promotes good back support. Great space for everything, and love the stretchy material used for water bottles on the side. Wish the straps were made with more sturdy material.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I bought this for a trip I was taking and used it as a carry on. It was just the right size to fit under my seat on the plane and had so many different compartments I was able to stay organized. Shoulder straps were quite comfortable for as long as I had to carry it around. I will be taking it camping next year and can’t wait to use it for that purpose!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Well built So far so good. I have been using this pack for about 2 weeks now. It is well put together and seems to be made of sturdy materials. The zippers are very smooth. I love that the wast straps can be stowed away into the bag behind my lower back. I do not feel or see them at all but they are easy to pull out and use for a hike/camping or a trip through the airport. This bag is super flexible, I use it for work day to day hauling a computer and other gear but could easily be used for a weekend camp or a short trip as a carry-on. I got it on sale and feel very good about the value. I don't know how I would feel if I paid full price. Only issue so far is that the bag really cannot be set or leaned against something in an upright position. The back panel is a little long and very right (makes for a sturdy bag, but it makes it want to tip over).
